CORPES is an international series of workshops, held biennially since 2005, dedicated to recent experimental and theoretical advances in the electronic structure of strongly correlated systems and quantum materials. The workshops bring together scientists working in the broad areas of many-body electronic structure theory and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES).
The aim is to deepen our understanding of the microscopic mechanisms underpinning the properties and functionalities of quantum materials (e.g., topological systems, 2D materials, correlated oxides and superconductors). Recent experimental and theoretical advances in photoemission spectroscopy are also covered. Experimentally the workshops cover new developments at free electron lasers, synchrotron radiation sources and laboratory-based sources such as lasers.
CORPES23 will be held in Beijing, China and organized by National Lab for superconductivity, Insititute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
